CompTIA certification

CompTIA certification speaks of a performance benchmark in the IT industry. As a non-profit company, CompTIA has one sole goal: to set and maintain and standard of knowledge and ability in all related fields. To this end, CompTIA has created exams for all level manner of professional certifications. Along the way, many of these have been refined over the years in order to reflect the changing nature of the IT industry itself. CompTIA certification is always striving to stay at the cutting edge and ensure that the professionals who earn it are up to par.

CompTIA certification tests are administered in chosen testing facilities so that each scenario is as equal as possible for all takers. While CompTIA is responsible for handing out many different types of professional certifications, its most popular is the A+ certification. The CompTIA A+ certification is vendor-neutral, which means that its applications in the real-world job market are broad and useful. It is also used as an entry-level certification of sorts, meaning that those who take and pass this type of CompTIA certification often move on to test for others.

Other CompTIA certifications include Linux+, Security+, Sever+, and so on. As their names indicate, each type of certification tests for specialized knowledge in one area. Testers who choose to take these certification tests are often looking to either break into a certain job field or gain new skills in one that they’re already a part of. Each type of CompTIA certification is extremely useful in its own right.
